i have had this kit for nearly half a year now, which i purchased it as a shell pack due to owning enough hardware. i play mostly modern jazz and a bit of world/ funk with it. i have it in the burnt pearl. the toms have a nice sound to them and the "bop" sizes relate realy well to the styles and sounds i want to get out of my kit.

The tom holder system is nice and looks profesional. the 18" bass drum is good too, it has a real solid sound that with my preference of tuning resonates freely and close your eyes it could be a larger bass drum. the snare isnt bad either, a typical basic wood snare but does sound good, i dont use the snare day to day but i do carry it with me to gigs as a spare in case of problems! i love the sizes it is very tourable and fits in my car so snugly that i can also take the double bass player from the band in the same car!

Considering the price of this kit i would highly reccomend it for any aspiring and gigging jazzers out there, but also to most drummers as its got a lovely pleasing feel and sound.
